| Let's bring back "Topic Of The Week". The topic can be what ever we choose it to be and we can talk about it together.
I know this next one is sooooooooooo far from LMAO!, but life isn't always dancing on the roses ...
I was at Facebook - checking my account yesterday and got this "chain message" ...
When I was reading it it made me nearly physically ill ...
Read it through and post your opinion as a reply to this topic. BUT before you do ... some bits of it might be really upsetting - just a heads up ...

TOPIC OF THE WEEK 49 ->
Do you remember February 1993 in England , when a young boy of 3 was taken from a Liverpool shopping centre by two 10-year-old boys? Jamie Bulger walked away from his mother for only a second, Jon Venables took his hand and led him out of the mall with his friend Robert Thompson. They took Jamie on a walk for over 2 and a half miles, along the way stopping every now and again to torture the poor little boy who was crying constantly for his mummy. Finally they stopped at a railway track where they brutally kicked him, threw stones at him, rubbed paint in his eyes, pushed batteries up his anus and cut his fingers off with scissors. Other mutilations were inflicted but not reported in the press.
N.B. :- Remember, a 3year old cannot possibly defend themselves against a 10 year old, let alone of 2 them.
What these two boys did was so horrendous that Jamie's mother was forbidden to identify his body. They then left his beaten small body on railway tracks so a train could run him over to hide the mess they had created. These two boys, even being boys, understood what they did was wrong, hence trying to make it look like an accident.
This week Lady Justice Butler-Sloss has awarded the two boys ( now men ), anonymity for the rest of their lives when they leave custody with new identities. They will also leave custody early only serving just over half of their sentence. They are being relocated to Australia to live out the rest of their lives. They disgustingly and violently took Jamie's life away and in return they each get a new life!
Please.... . If you feel as strongly as we do, ( and if you haven't already signed this petition ) that this is a grave Miscarriage of justice - Hit the forward button and add your name at the end, and send it to everyone you can !
If you are the 700th person to sign, please forward this e-mail to: cust.ser.cs@gtnet.gov.uk and mark it for the attention it to Lady Justice Butler
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What do you think?
I think it's sad & very bad mistake to give this kind of "OK" message to the society / world.
I know those boys who did it MIGHT have changed, but ... still.
Is it REALLY right to give them a DREAM start with new identity and all and in Australia of all places?!

i think its prolly just speculation to throw the public off the scent...........
mind you the lads in question have served their time and are prolly a lot wiser now so doesnt everyone derserve a second chance.....
or maybe they should have locked em up and thrown away the key .......
if the young child had been mine the case would never had got to court in fact id be writtin this from the local nick now......
.............and the two lads wouldnt have cost the state anything more than a funneral..... | |

| Good question MissHaha What makes my blood boil is that the justice system is geared up to protect the criminals and not the victims. Maybe they said Australia to throw everyone off the scent as I imagine there would be alot of people looking for them if it was known they were released in UK. I agree they have served their time and should get a second chance but I for one dont think they have served anywhere near long enough, I mean its not as if they accidentally murdered the wee soul, they knowingly made his final moments horrific. 10 years old or not, they knew it was wrong and could have stopped but they didnt, they tortured him to death. Thats just sick. Rant over | |
